Danny’s Song
Friday, October 26th, 2007Zaydie wrote an excellent song to induce Danny’s arrival. So far it hasn’t helped, but you never know. If I keep singing it, Susannah might go into labor. To save it for all posterity, it’s repeated here:
Hello Daniel (to the tune of Allan Sherman’s “Hello Muddah, Hello Faddah”
Hello Daniel, like to meet you,
On this day I’d, like to greet you,
Come on out now, see the sights now,
Give your Zaydie all his bragging rights now.
See your mudda, and your brudda,
And there’s Mookie, not your brudda,
There’s your fadda, your mudda’s hubby,
Pretty soon you’ll get to meet your lovely bubbie
(chorus)
Here they are, your aunts and uncles,
Near and far, your aunts and uncles,
Know you are,
The newest Su-per-star.
Now there’s Nina, your daddy’s grandma,
And your daddy’s Jersey grandpa,
And your cousins, Kate and Ellie,
They will hug you and they’ll tickle your fat belly,
So it’s time now, come on meet them,
Come on out now, come and greet them,
Be a genius, be a smartie,
Come on out let’s have a birthday party!
