As many of you know, I’ve been working on my stock photography portfolio. There are about 75 images in the portfolio, and those have accounted for about 3600 sales.

That means that there are about 3600 designers, marketers, web masters and desktop publishers who have downloaded and used my images. Of those sales, I have seen or heard about maybe a dozen. That is to say, most of the time, I never find out how the images are used. So it’s always a treat to find out when one gets used. It’s even more of a treat when it’s a picture of Jonah.

This morning, a very kind hearted iStockphoto customer emailed me to let me know that she used one of my pictures of the Baby Monster on a website she helps maintain. The image was used to illustrate a story about understanding baby talk. At least, I think that’s what it was about. The whole thing was in Dutch.
